I think it all depends on the voltage your sled is putting out. Some of the guys are saying they're hotter, some say they're about the same. No one I've dealt with have said they're not as warm as OEM.
Mine are about the same as the Doo grips they replaced. I'm only running at about 13 volts though.

I think I'm all caught up with the e-mails. If you didn't get yours, you were accidently missed. Send another request and I'll get it to you. From what I'm hearing, the guys have been having no trouble following the instructions so far.

Interesting timing. I don't have hand warmers on my sled atm and was thinking about pulling the hot grips off the 670 im parting.

catmaster911@hotmail.com if you would please,

Yea well... last winter.. the neither the grips nor the thumb heater worked... last weekend all of a sudden the right hand grip started to work.. it felt GREAT!!

I have some electrical gremlins in that sled.. thankfully the gauges / headlight / engine management stuff all work...

Send all requests to my message box please. It's much easier to keep track of. I don't always check this post. To those that have done the install, I hope everything went well. If you have any suggestions for improvement, please message me and I'll consider it because I'd like the instructions to be as clear as possible. Thanks. Snow-Balls

To be fully honest, I was intending to get the #123 model and then I did a little more research and found out that the 2 wire with resistor models like #101 have only one element in the grip. This makes them far more dependable and this is where their legendary "never burns out" reputation comes from......the original. Minor rewiring didn't scare me so I went with the 2 wire. If the resistor ever burns out, it's as simple as unplugging the old and plugging in the new. I beleive the 2 wire Hot Grips are cheaper too!

O.K. thanks. Im changing the grips on my wifes 500ss on tuesday. I can't believe all the problems that the rev's have with there heated grips. The left low went out at 150 miles and the righ high went out at 290 miles on our 2007 500ss.I was going to get them replaced under warenty. But after doing some searches here on doo talk realized that I should just replace them with hot grips.I was a cat guy and have learned so much here on doo talk.thank you.
